France Claim Ninth Place // 15 July 2007
Nando De Colo (pictured) scored 18 points and dished out seven assists to help France to ninth place at the U20 European Championship Men with a 91-82 victory over Croatia.

Aaron Cel and Fabien Causeur each added 16 points for the French, who dropped to ninth after sixth-placed showings in 2005 and 2006.

Croatia's Nino Vlaic came off the bench to lead all scorers with 23 points while Ante Tomic had 17 points and 11 rebounds - his third double-double of the championship.

The Croatians' 10th place finish comes after a fifth-placed showing last summer in Izmir.

In the game for 11th place, Remigijus Trakimas collected 21 points and seven rebounds in Lithuania's 81-70 victory over Georgia.

Evaldas Baniulis scored 13 points and Ernestas Ezerskis and Edvinas Ruzgas each chipped in 12 points for Lithuania, who notched their worst-ever showing in eight U20 tournaments.

The poorest previous finish was 10th place in 2000.

Georgia, who were led by Giorgi Shermadini's 18 points and eight rebounds, finished 12th in their first-ever season in U20 Division A.
